Year 9 Film Reviews

Please continue to research and read film reviews to develop your vocabulary.

You should begin to create your own word/phrase bank.  Try to include key words such as 'romcom 'horror', but ideally you should be building up a word/phrase bank with original hyphenated words - all-time-must-see-movie', 'grip-the-edge-of-your-seat' and general descriptive phrases.

I know that some of you have already made an effort to high-light/cut out paragraphs from your chosen reviews that you particularly liked and I would encourage you all to do the same.

Do pay attention to the use of punctuation for effect!

Extension:  annotate your chosen review with punctuation/effect as we did with the Toy Story review in class.

All of this will help you to become great film reviewers.

Happy Reviewing!

Mrs Couchman

PS  your assessment is nigh!

Think about the Fawlty Towers clips we watched.

Think about some of the examples we worked on class.

Who/what will you be?
What words/actions/props will you use/need to convey your character to the class?

Year 8 Simpsons Project - over the next 2 weeks

You should do some research about packaging.

You could use the internet.

You should pay attention when you go shopping!

Think about:
your product:  food, toys/games, clothing, lunch box etc
your target audience
the colours you will use
the font you will use
the images you will use

If you are going to make 3D packaging, you will need to collect the things you will need eg cardboard, ribbons etc
